Steven Stewart has been hearing from God for about 12 years that he is supposed to plant a multicultural, multi-lingual church in downtown San Jose. He completed Vineyard Leadership Institute in 2008 and started outreach meetings in the downtown area two years ago. He started by offering prayer and cold water to passers-by in the parking lot of a closed local supermarket at the intersection of 4th and Younger streets and met for several months under popup canopies rain or shine. In January 2017, he completed the process to become a church released by Vineyard USA.
Steven has been following Jesus since returning to Him as an adult. He has lead clean and sober homes for men, participated in overseas and local outreach efforts, and is a chaplain with the Blacksheep Harley Davidsons for Christ.

Pam Stewart has been married to Steven since 1993. She has been an active participant and occasional leader in various church and para-church groups since deciding to follow Jesus in high school, including InterVarsity Christian Fellowship, teaching Sunday school from age 4 years to 6th grade, Sunnyvale Bible Study and a local dance worship team. She is a retired Science teacher and main cook and co-pastor for any small group hosted in our home.
In her role as Administrative Pastor of COTC Pam is in charge of IT, bookkeeping, picking up the pizzas for Sunday and answering the phone. She's very thankful to Mr. Robinson, her 7th grade Spanish teacher.
